Helio Power and the VPCP delegation visited and worked in Truong Sa in May 2019

(Chinhphu.vn) - In the harsh conditions "even the color of iron and stone fades", but Truong Sa's army and people did not lose heart for a minute, building a firm "Bach Dang battle" on the sacred sea and sky of Vietnam. 

Deputy Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Cao Luc shared this sentiment when leading a delegation of the Government Office to visit and encourage officials, soldiers and people in Truong Sa island district (Khanh Hoa province). and DK1 rig from May 6-14.

Joining the 11th mission organized by the Navy Command on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Navy (May 7, 1955 - May 7, 2019), there were also delegates Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Binh Phuoc province, Hai Phong city, Vietnam News Agency, Electricity of Vietnam and many other press agencies. The head of the delegation was Colonel Do Quoc An, Vice Chairman of Naval Engineering.

On the fishing boat KN490, during the 9-day business trip, the delegation visited the islands: Song Tu Tay, Da Nam, Son Ca, Nam Yet, Da Lon C, Co Lin, Da Dong B, Da Tay, Truong. Sa Dong, Da Lat, Truong Sa, DK1/14 rig house (Tu Chinh).

Also in the program, the delegation held a memorial ceremony for heroes and martyrs, offered incense at Uncle Ho Memorial House, General Vo Nguyen Giap Park, Statue of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, pagodas and temples. and attended the flag-raising ceremony on the islands…

Within the framework of the business trip, the VPCP delegation participated in exchange activities, visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officers, soldiers and people on the islands and rigs.

During the journey of more than 1,000 nautical miles from the mainland to Truong Sa and the DK1 rig, the melody of the song "Nearly Truong Sa" by musician Hinh Phuoc Long: "Not far, Truong Sa. Still close to you because Truong Sa is always with you…” and many passionate songs about love for the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, country, love for people always echo on every destination and even on the KN490 ship.

Especially touching is the memorial ceremony for heroes and martyrs who died in Truong Sa archipelago. The ceremony was held on the sea near Co Lin Island, where more than 30 years ago on March 14, 1988, the heroic fight of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy against the enemy took place. to protect the beloved homeland's sovereignty over sea and islands.

In a sacred and emotional atmosphere, with infinite reverence and grief, the Delegation respectfully bowed before the souls of the heroes and martyrs, the outstanding children of the Vietnamese nation.
